Shana is teaching the current Level 3 class at the Hideout which will perform in the first Student Show that Roy has set up for August 12. Do you have a group of students ready to do a graduation show around that time? Or maybe Look Cookie or one of the other new ColdTowne troupes could do a set? And maybe we can get someone super-sweet to top off the evening? Roy, what are you thinking at this point?ChrisTrew.Com wrote:Our conservatory has been in talks with Heroes about doing combo graduation shows. Andy, let's get those talks started again.
And next time we can vice versa that with one of the recent Hideoutish troupes (Starter Kit, etc.) opening for a grad show at ColdTowne?

I sure as hell didn't. For some reason I thought that AIC members got into CT for free but CT students did not get into AIC shows for free.mcnichol wrote:I'm not sure how many CTT students are aware that they can freely see AIC shows at the Hideout, and how many Heroes students are aware that they can see AIC shows at the CTT.
And here's a suggestion for CT's advertising: "Live comedy that is no better or worse than you would see at any AIC-affiliated theater." Snappy, huh?

I'm confused. Do CTT students get into all AIC shows for free, or just the ones at CTT? If it's all shows, do we need to get tickets for the ones at the Hideout and other places? If we need tickets, who do we talk to about that? If it's just a couple of tickets, how to we find out more about volunteering in order to see free shows?

Jericho, once your new team "comes out" and gets into the next schedule rotation for playing and hosting duties you're part of the AIC and, as members, you see CTT and Hideout shows whenever.apiaryist wrote:I'm confused. It sounds like the only fuzziness right now surrounds lapsed or active CT/Hideout students who are not yet affiliated with a team....

The goddamn best Austin improv classes!
The goddamn best Austin improv classes!
When I was a student, we were given a free ticket or two per level. I ended up watching as much improv as possible. I used my free tickets, I paid for some shows and I wandered into shows without paying. As an instructor and dean of the Heroes School of Improv Comedy I officially encourage people to see as much improv as possible and give them the official free tickets. Unofficially I recommend people see as much improv as possible by any means necessary. By ANY means necessary.
