This book is an interesting illustration of improv skills in real life.
It's 13 chapters, each written by a different author. As an improviser, I was interested in looking for what happened when these people had to build a narrative together - would offers be dropped? would things be negated? would there be callbacks? There are some rough transitions, and some things that don't quite make sense at the end, but, on the whole, I think they did a pretty solid job.
Oh, yeah, I should mention: the original format was that it was published in serial in the Miami Herald, and later was turned into a book.
Um, also it's really funny. If you've spent time in Miami, it's even funnier.
I've already promised my copy to another improviser, but I'm happy to pass it around.
