It's Full of Cobras Vs. Dr. Clobber: The Final Battle!!!

Post by Spaztique »

Let's settle this once and for all. I know it's a huge risk to me and my troupe (or at least my former troupe if this goes wrong), but improv is about risks, right?

Which is the cooler troupe name?

Your mailbox, that pregnant woman, Santa's bag, that pinata, airplanes, and the enemy base in GI Joe: what do they all have in common? It's Full of Cobras! Seriously! It's Full of Cobras!

Another alternate name is "Big Ol' Cobra Pinata", but first, let's settle the fight between the current two names.

Dr. Clobber is an anti-hero. He once saved a puppy while giving a lady a 3.99 trimester abortion, but in a burning building, while holding a little British orphan child hostage, but to raise money for Goodwill. And, like Dr. Tran, he has a PhD in kicking your ass!

Clobber's got it without a doubt. I was asking about the name before I even knew about the troupe. It's just a sweetass name.

This isn't even a contest... Dr. Clobber is an excellent name to begin with. It's Full of Cobras sounds a bit gimmicky. When you compare the two, Dr. Clobber stands out even more.

I don't know about this being "the final battle", but it's good to see opinions on the name. This poll result will probably convince half the team that they hate Dr. Clobber as a name though... we're a bunch of grumpy jerks.

Yeah, I figured as much. If you're not comfortable with it, don't use it... that way I can steal it for something.

I like the cartoon snake with the heart behind his head. Makes me think, "Ooo! A loving improv troupe with some bite!" How sweet!!!

I guess here is the place for things on the record. I like Clobber... with or without the Dr. prefix, but I think maybe more without.
