We are looking for crew for Whirled News Tonight - Austin

hey everyone!

we are looking for the following for the run of whirled news tonight - austin, beginning april 1. i wanted to put this out to the community before posting to students or elsewhere.

we are very excited to add this show to the strong stable of shows going on at the hideout and create improv and sketch converts among the uninitiated audiences of austin!

box office/house manager - gives brief (and compelling) synopsis of the show, completes payment for reserved tickets, sells tickets for walk ups, processes card payments and hands out programs. will also double as house manager once show begins, and be called upon to move sets when 8pm show proceeds WNT. Prefer one person with good customer service juju to be available for first full run, will consider splitting position if needed.

Hours from 9:30pm - 11:30pm.
Pays $20 nightly

tech - manages sound, lights and pre-show video. must be comfortable, competent and confident as you will also be responsible for pulling the 'OUT' april 8th +. Will also be called upon to move sets when 8pm show proceeds WNT. Must be available for the first full run (until May 20th).

Hours from 9:30pm - 11:30pm.
Pays $20 nightly

promotion - hands out flyers in advance of show. must be positive, engaging, well spoken and quick-witted. Available for 2 weeks at a time.
