July 1 General Meeting - location?

Post by kristin »

So we talked about moving the meeting from the Hideout to another place, perhaps with some early Sunday afternoon type food options.

La Madelaine was suggested because of the back room area that's reasonably private, but vetoed because it’s a chain.

Cedar Door was suggested as there is a back area distant from waitress.

Other ideas?

Freddies on South First?

Spider House? Maybe they would reserve the back area for us?

Where would you guys be excited just to show up and chill? And if a meeting happens, maybe that's okay, too?

We should avoid places where we have to have areas reserved. That is my only criteria.

If it is a place where we can reserve an area without much planning ahead of time, or a need to know an exact number, it wouldn't be bad. Then we'd at least know that we'd have a space to be in.

Any other ideas?

do it at Rio Grande at 3rd and San Jacinto - they have a reservable room or just plain open space. The time of day we're doing this - I can pretty much asure you they'll have space available. Plus they have good margaritas and good free chips and salsa.

is this meeting happening and can i ask the AIC if it wants to be a sponsor of the oob festival?

just fyi; last year the AIC was granted sponsorship status because we split the proceeds from the Cagematch Tournament which was a combined AIC/oob event leading up to the festival.
