Yeah, these guys used to be Fatbuckle way back in the day. Metoskie's really funny--he moved away to Chicago for a while and really caught the longform bug and they have started up doing improv again. I'm going to be coaching them a little bit. Their first show is that benefit and then they're going to do late night Saturdays at SVT in July. I'm trying to get them integrated into to AIC as well.

These guys are all top notch performers.

If they want in on the July/August Threefer schedule, there's still time for them to submit availability. Feel free to pass on the availability e-mail on to them.

My guess is they'll pass this round--they'll be playing at SVT in July, and then their mainstage show happens in August. But I'll let them know. They're going to come check out stuff at OoB, so I expect their participation in the scene will start around that time, for the September/October schedule.

i think only a couple of those dudes were O.G. Fatbuckle. I was hoping to see more fatbuckle names on there but i think most of them have scattered to the winds.
still, extremely awesome. and it will be interesting to see an accomplished group of so classically trained actor folks crosstrain in some improv. i'm sure it will bring a new flavor to the scene.
i will see them in july. who's with me?

Remind me. I'd like to check 'em out.

Whatever happened to the sketch group (can't friggin' remember the name) that came out of Fatbuckle?
Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

I'll see 'em.

I remember seeing flyers for 90% Effective when I was a freshman in college. It's one of many "god dammit, I could have been doing this shit earlier" hindsight moments/regrets I have.

think tank

Post by kerri »

the sketch troupe was think tank. incredibly funny. i think it kind of dispersed when alan and zach moved to chicago. although some of them have done a few sketch shows since then, a valentines day one i think was their last.
zach's thinking about moving back from chicago also, so maybe we'll see some more sketch stuff in the future from them
