suggestions for an Improv read

Also, I am the AIC Librarian. We have a small but nice selection of improv books at the Hideout in the white cabinet. You can check out books as long as you return them within...say 4 months of checking them out, though we (I) encourage checking out books for only 1 month as it's just nicer that way. Also when you check out a book you must fill out your information in the white folder next to the books.
Since you are a member of GP you have access to this library, take advantage of that accessss.

these all sound fantastic, and i'm really grateful for the suggestions.

i've done a fair amount of improv i think. almost a year. i really was looking for theory books or anything that would go into detail about performance.

this is more than helpful though, thanks a lot!

Jesus god, we're doing something wrong. Yes. Absolutely yes. The AIC is the entire improv community in Austin. The AIC library is for everyone. Both theaters are for everyone. There might be some quibbling about who is a member of the AIC, and whether or not library privileges are classifed as member privileges or what, but NONE OF THAT REALLY MATTERS. If you're an improviser in Austin and you want to read more about improv, the AIC wants to make that happen.
