In NYC, I was able to collect unemployment through an online service, but I am having trouble finding such a thing here in Austin.
Has anyone collected unemployment here and knows the method for doing so?

You have to contact the Texas Workforce Commission and apply for it.
They usually require that you have a meeting with an employment counselor, though I got the impression it was just to make sure you're not a dead-beat.
