Worm/virus?

Post by kbadr »

Did anyone get some sort of worm or virus on their computer recently? I
ask only because we got spam sent to the kittens pgraph account, and the
from-address was the same address. As far as I can tell (and google
confirms it), our kittens pgraph account doesn't appear anywhere on the web, so it wasn't picked up by a spam spider or anything.

For the less literate among us: how would we know?

you might be able to look at the full headers of the email and see the IP address it actually originated from. Then do a whois on it and see the domain it originated from. jibber jabber gling glo.

Yahoo claims the sender IP is 8.9.24.64 and whois claims that belongs to Kramer Ceilley and Associates, which I can't really find any information about. Hrmm.
