Chalk--The Movie

Post by smerlin »

My friend and Improv student, Jeff Guererro Assistant Directed and starred in the partially improvised movie Chalk, which is opening nationally this Friday May 18. I can't come see it that weekend (improv shows! hello!), but I was thinking of getting a group of people together on Monday May 21 (which also happens to be my birthday) and go see Chalk at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar at 9pm. Come out and support local film, local improv, and local birthdays.

shana,

thanks for plugging the film! i'm honored that you're celebrating your birthday with CHALK!!! hopefully you'll enjoy it (or will be too drunk to care -- one of the great things about the alamo!)

the good news is we're already selling out some screenings. the alamo is closely tracking advance ticket sales and keeping us updated. it would be great if everyone who knows they're coming monday night would go ahead and get their tickets now. presales could help influence whether the film gets to stay at the theatre for more than just one week.

thanks and i'll see you at the movies soon!

I just purchased my ticket.

I'd go but I'll be in Vegas at the time. I have the funny feeling that I might get disgusted and have to leave the theatre... I couldn't sit through the first showing of Office Space without breaking into tears either.
