Waffle Fest compensation

Post by acrouch »

Hey guys, after the Hideout gets paid for the space and waffle organizational fees, what do you say we save the rest of the cash for the massive Austin Improv Party that is shaping up to happen on Friday, December 30?

I believe I speak for the entire Parallelogramophonographamily when I say, "Hell yes!"

Despite what he thinks, he does not speak for every kitten in Parallelogramophonograph (wow, we are developing a whole new argot here). This particular kitten will be sad at this because he will be at his brother's wedding in another state on the 30th.

PS: There is a dictionary under your seat.

I was saying hell yes to the "saving the cash" thing. I might also be out of town on the 30th (depending on my job situation)

Any way we can move the date of the AIP?

I think it depends on how well decorated you think this party will be. Either way, yes, I think the money should go to that.

Maybe I'm confused. Is this the "get together and fix up the hideout" party, or just a "get together and get deeee-runk" party?

Were there still WaffleFest flyers at the counter last night or do I need to try to get some more printed up before the Cupholders Show tonight?

WaffleFest flyers

Post by Wesley »

I've made a WaffleFest flyer. It isn't great, but it is something. Now I need help getting them out. We got a lot of half-sized flyers handed out at First Thursday (Thank you to all that helped with that!) but now I want to put up some full-sized color flyers about town.

I want to hit campus after the jam tonight and I'll be needing some help. And if people are willing to take some and put them up tomorrow and Thursday on campus and all over other places (wherever you can think of: High schools, apartment complex pin boards, bars, etc), that would be great.

The greater the advertising, the more people will show and the faster Austin improv will grow. But we have to help ourselves and put in a little footwork.

I'll bring flyers to the jam and anyone who can help spread the word, please do. There is also a sugestion on the table to hand out half-sized flyers at the UT game this Saturday. We can also talk about that this evening at the jam and see who is interested in helping out.
