BE / FIND MY ROOMMATE

Post by beardedlamb »

hello,

i am looking for someone or multiple ones to move into a house with me. i'm looking to spend around 300 to 450 a month before bills. i want to be as close to downtown as possible. i've found some pretty good places with 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms that are affordable and close. i'm thinking south side cuz it's near my part-time job.

i'd want to move in at the beginning of june and sign a 12 month lease, but july is also doable.

me: clean my mess regularly (usually right away), not home a lot, sleep late, stay up late, don't mind noise, make noise sometimes, work really strange hours at home, don't use soap when i shower, talk/think about improv constantly, need space for a mini office either in a big combo office/bedroom or in a place somewhere in the house.

you: pick up after your fucking self, do your own g-d dishes, don't steal shit from my room or from my food stock in the kitchen, make noise whenever you want, belong to netflix and don't queue stupid movies.

some examples of what i'm looking at:

http://austin.craigslist.org/apa/135370406.html (ok, so this one's far but it has 5 bedrooms and a BARN. can you say ghetto ranch theatre? i can.)

I'd totally live with the beard.

I'm looking to move closer downtown and out of my P-rents house this summer anyways.

Kickass.

Me: Egyptian deity, able to perform miracles, queues ONLY stupid movies on Netflix (Three to Tango? New York Minute? Police Academy 6?), loves the improvised comedic theatre like none other, can dance a mad quesadilla.

You: Jeremy fucking Lamb, dumbass.

love,
-phil

2 questions:

do you mind living in a barn?

do you have a cat? i meant to mention no cats, cuz i'm usually allergic.

if the answer to these two questions is no, then you're pre-qualified. my people will be in contact.

ANYONE ELSE care to join the house of prov?

VISA asked me the same damn questions when they pre-qualified me for a low-interest credit card yesterday! Weird...

Also, the answer to your questions is Yes, No. OR rather Yes, Yes but I'd be getting rid of them when I move out because living in a provhouse would be worth losing a cat or two. And, a barn theatre is the best idea yet.

But would I have to live in the barn?

But would I have to live in the barn?
i think the more appropriate question is: "Why would you have to live in the barn?"

I just wanted to throw out that I'll be leaving the country this summer late June or early July. I will be leaving Austin, the US, and Andy Crouch. This means that there will be a vacancy in the House of Drake this summer, which is extremely close to downtown.

As I may be leaving in June/July, I may be forced to sublease my room for that final 1.5 months. The lease ends in mid-August; however, I am fairly confident Crouch will stay for another year, so if you have a +2 schmooze rating, you should be able to schmooze your way into signing that lease with him.

Of course, as an improviser, you may be coerced into being drafted into "the all new" 1813 Drake, in which you would have my blessing.

I'm looking to buy a house in late May/early June and I'm sure I'll need a roommate to help on the expenses. I'll go where I can afford, but with an eye for getting closer to downtown.

What' about Roy's Dream of converting his street to an improvisers block party? Are those houses still up for sale?

Post by Wesley »

Yeah, at $80-120k outside my price range. I'll have to just visit the block parties form afar.

I don't know if you are still looking for roommates but i am also looking for a place around the same time. I'll be out of the country the second half of June and the first half of July but would be willing to sign and move in before if need be. let me know.

Hey Ross! A friend of mine is moving into Austin in July or August and needs a place to stay. If you find any sweet houses within a reasonable distance to campus, I'll hook you guys up together.
