I'll be there at one tomorrow!
I'm assuming you have safety goggles and ear protection for that jackhammer daddy?

Dang it, Sara. I probably owe you more than anyone here, and I'm out of town starting in a few hours. Remind me to dig a hole for you someday soon.sara_anm8r wrote:Bump! This starts TOMORROW (Friday)!! Come any time after 1pm on Friday, and anytime on Saturday.
Fri. 1pm = trash old fence
Fri. 3pm = dig 20 holes & set posts in concrete (initial my concrete!)
Fri. 5pm = 37 rails (? this may have to wait until the concrete has set)
Sat. 9am = finish rails; add "furring" (bottom pickets)
Sat. 11am = 272 pickets
If you can't come work, come by to visit and cheer us on!!! Whoop!!!

Whew!! Lots of progress made today.
Out with the old fence!!! Ug!! New holes dug, some pretty tough ones (solid rock). The workers will get their names carved into the posts on those holes. Others were easier (dirt with rock mix). A few posts set -- enough to keep the work staggered tomorrow between the last of the holes with the rails & pickets.
A big THANK YOU for today's helpers...
Arthur Simone!
Kerry Aleman!
Gene Joe!
James Roberts!
Thank you all!
Round 2 tomorrow... coffee, fruit and breakfast tacos for the early crowd tomorrow (8am). Work officially starts at 9am. Ta!!

Thanks to all those who came out to help build my fence. All the boards are up and in place, just missing a few screws, which I will work on when the weather clears up.
