Celebrity Maestro - now for real

Post by Asaf »

Jeremy and I are directing Maestro on the 14th and it will be a Celebrity edition. This will feature a smaller cast to allow us to do more schtick and allow us to not eliminate so many people so early.

Jeremy will be directing as Christopher Lloyd and I will be directing as Truman Capote.

I am calling the following people out to be part of the cast:

1. Aden Kirschner as Bette Midler
2. Troy Miller as William Shatner
3. Eric Heiburg as Slim Pickins
4. Kristin Firth as Andy Kaufman
5. Mike as Marlon Brando
6. Dav Wallace as Shaggy
7. Jason Vines as John Travolta (70s era)
8. Mark Majcher as Hunter S. Thompson
9. Jessica Arjet as Queen Elizabeth I
10. Andy Crouch as Kenny Loggins

Andy Crouch will be in the cast as well (celeb TBA) and Ratliff will on the keys so we can do some musical games with celebrities. We have slots for 4 more players. Please save the speculation of possible roles else where. I want to hear confident voices on this thread only saying "I want in, and I want to play ______________"

In the end, Jeremy and I will send out individual invites to fill out the cast. We need to make sure to get the best possible mix of celebrities for this to work best.

Would you be able to dress the part?

Post by vine311 »

I could dress it but I don't have the hair for it. I was thinking about it last night and I think I'd like to try something a little different. So, I'm throwing this one out there...

Post-rehab Britney Spears.

I've got access to a girl scout uniform that would totally work.

Inspired casting!

I would love to haer Eirc scream:
"What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-going on here? I hired you people to try to get little track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of Kansas Cty faggots!"
If you disrespect your character, or play it just for laughs, it will sell some gags, but it's all technique.
It's like watching a juggler-- you'll be impressed by it, but it's not going to touch you in anyway. "

In honor of Roymund's 30th Birthday Celebration, I think he should be forced to be Michael York....whether he plays or not.

I want in and I want to play a foreign movie director. But I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it this time as I'm in a play that night at 8. :( If I do make it, I'll be cutting it very close, so don't count on me. But I will rush over as soon as the play is over with my white hair and beard and see where y'all are at and if you want me . . .

Okay, my first choice is Queen Elizabeth I, my second is Ingrid Bergman. I have the costume for QE, and I could get it for Ingrid Bergman (no, I could never have that face :( but I think I can pull off the act.) I also have other ideas, but for the sake of simplicity I'm just throwing out my first and second choice. (I'll be out of town until Monday but I want in for sure.)
