Congrats

Post by Roy Janik »

Now that the big reveal is out, let me say Congratulations to Kaci for becoming the newest member of the Available Cupholders.

In particular, this is super sweet for her, because it was seeing them perform that inspired her to become an improviser herself.

So hooray. Congratulate her when you see her next, or better yet come watch both her troupes perform some Thursday at 8 in April.

so where are the cupholders, say, six months from now? what's the timeline on people moving? is there a name change on the horizon? what kind of suggestions will you be taking by the time you're 40 years old??

my guess is will have our own space, the same name, the same personnel, except that some folks will be coming and going.
and the space'll be called the Amazing Flying Machine... and and it'll seat 100 people....and there will be drinks available and everyone'll come enjoy Dasariski in a non-Out of Bounds run in October... and we'll all be on tv on a show called 'That 80s Improv Show', a fictionalized look at the development of improv in various global locations in the 80s... and i'll still be moving furniture.

uh, so that's where the cupholders are headed. La-La Land.

Roy! Stop being so awesome! Your birthday is coming up!

Thanks for the kind/supporting words everyone both here and elsewhere. You're making me blush and that's unbecoming on a lady.

I am so excited about improv/the future of improv/my future in improv. I never thought I would go this deep but now I love it and I'm not going to stop. I get to work with some of the best improvisers in the world here in Austin. I get to work and perform with my best friends. How cheesy and awesome is that?!

Fuck yeah for improv.
Fuck yeah.

I see hanging out with Joplin and Ace has influenced your language.

Fuck yeah for Kaci Beeler. Best Austin intro ever on the big reveal.
