It's Official: The Cage Match Tournament is on!!!

...and here is how it works.
Teams submit their availability by emailing christrew at his gmail account the letter(s) of the dates they are available. Important: The Cage Match is no longer "play until you lose" - hopefully this will enable people who haven't been involved in the Cage Match because of scheduling issues participate.

So!
May 4th: A vs. B (E Host)
May 11th E vs. F (A Host)
May 18th C vs. D (H Host)
May 25th: G vs. H (B Host)
June 1st AorB vs. CorD (G Host)
June 8th: EorF vs. GorH (C Host)
June 15th: ABCD Winner vs. EFGH Winner CHAMPIONSHIP (D/F Host)

Example:
If you tell me that you want slot C, this means that you are available on the following days:
May 18th (to play)
June 1st (to play if win in round 1)
June 8th (to host)
June 15th (to play if win in round 2)

The more letters you give me, the better your chance of getting into the tournament.

More news and notes:
- There will be prizes for winners. For real prizes, not ham and cheese.
- There will be a champion! And a future tournament of champions!
- All teams will be required to participate in Cage Match media day at ColdTowne Theater on Sunday, April 15th. Here we will take pictures, shoot videos, have fun, get excited, etc.
- There will be a "pot luck" team, so those who want to play but for whatever reason don't have a troupe (or if someone has a KKKRazy streak) you can submit your availability for the pot luck team. The pot luck team does not have a specific slot though, so we still need your availability.
- With your help, every Cage Match is going to be a party. We are looking at food and beverage sponsors, so getting people out won't be difficult.
- Submissions are open April 1st.
- The Cage Match will sit pretty Friday nights at 11:30. There is a small chance that it will move to 11:59 for marketing purposes.

This tournament is going to inject a massive shot of fun and high-stakes into the Cage Match. Get excited, get together a team, or join with your existing team, hire a coach, take it seriously (but not KKKRazy seriously), get your people out to see you and get ready!

Also, don't forget about the pot luck team! Individual improvisers sign up for the pot luck team with the slots they are available for and the cage match commissioners will piece together the team based on the dates they are available!

I will be sending out a generic availability post/e-mail later today. It should be noted, though, that since Chris wants to do publicity photos on the 15th, Cagematch availability should be sent in as soon as possible.

cagematch at improvcagematch.com will do as it sends emails to Roy (scheduling main-man), myself (temporary cage match commish) and Eric Seufert (co-cage match commish, future only cage match commish).
