1. Two scenes at once sort of like a split screen, but one person (same character) is in both scenes and he or she edits from one to the other simply by physically turning her attention that way. The other scene is frozen while the active one is happening.
2. Someone from the sideline comes on and physically turns one of the other players; gives them some information; then physically turns them back into the scene.
** I should note that, although these three edits (or rather devices like my second one) have the same name of Revolving Door, they are obviously very different and should have a unique name.

I think the most important part about this kind of edit is who controlled the remote for the machine. Although, that might be a secret so I think I should let chris tell you who has the remote.
