Okay, I've posted about this alot and have not received the replies I expected!
FUTURE MAESTRO IS TAKING PLACE ON MARCH 4th! That is very soon. Doug and myself will be directing a very special edition of Maestro complete with over-the-top futuristic gameshow goodness. Not only will the players be playing for a Canadian 5 dollar bill (the only type of currency accepted in the year 2106!) but they'll also be playing for their own lives (due to rampant overpopulation of our planet!)
The list of people who are interested in playing is as follows:
Roy Janik
Greg Spencer
Kaci Beeler
Erika May
Jay Bernardo
Kareem Badr
These spots are filling up fast and if I don't know that you want to play BEFORE the end of the general meeting on Sunday, you will most likely not get a spot. I need a lot of experienced players to pull this off, and I promise it is not only going to be unique, it should be fun too. The reason I need a bit of advanced notice is because there will be some minor costuming involved, and I'd like to send a list of possible games to each player so that they understand some of the new games we'll be playing (this is to reduce audience/player confusion!)
PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL OR A PRIVATE MESSAGE TO ME ON THE FORUM IN THE NEXT TWO/THREE DAYS if you want to play!
philaulie@hotmail.com.
okay, that's it, this is the last post about this I promise!

EDIT: Also, if you have any ideas for games you'd like to play (be they normal improv games OR future themed games) please email those to me as well. Thank you.
FUTURE MAESTRO NEEDS YOU!

THIS IS THE EMAIL I SENT OUT TO ALL OF THOSE PLAYING FUTURE MAESTRO! If you can help in any way just let me know, I still need 1 or 2 REALLY EXPERIENCED players to round out the list! Also, if you can help with the donations, just let me know. Thanks!
"Hello All,
This in an informational e-mail regarding Future Maestro, which is to take
place this Saturday evening at 10:00PM. I have included in this email
everyone who asked to play, and several people I would appreciate playing
(I'm trying to guaranty there are some experienced players there!) Get back
to me if you cannot play, or want to play, PLEASE. Also, Chris Trew, could
you see if any of the other Coldtowne people would like to play, it would be
much appreciated!
FUTURE MAESTRO!
What will be the state of improv comedy 100 years from now? Will the games have changed? Will the hosts be cheery and fun? Will the audience enjoy themselves? Well, we at the Hideout Theatre would like to take one night to answer that question. We present to the audience, Future Maestro, a night of Maestro depicting the state of improv 100 years from now.
The stage has become an Arena, a robotic voice selects and directs the
games. A cheesy over the top host riles the audience into a bloodthirsty
fever, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, those who lose, not only lose the game…but they lose their lives.
*Overlord*
Philip Aulie
*Host*
Doug Pena
*Players*
Roy Janik
Greg Spencer
Kareem Badr
Jay Bernardo
Andy Crouch
Erika May
Kaci Beeler
Tom Glinkowski
Chris Allen
Mike from NY (possible)
Valerie Ward (possible)
Jill Morris (possible)
*Standby*
Sara Farr
This is going to be a very difficult Maestro to pull off and requires a bit
of preparation. FIRST OF ALL:
Costuming – The idea is that the stage will be decked out in white butcher
paper and every player will be wearing as much black (or dark colors) as
possible. I'd prefer it if everyone wore all black HOWEVER, if you'd like to
create a character to play Maestro AS (Erika mentioned something along the
lines of a Tina Turner Beyond Thunderdome thing) you may add some sort of characterizations to a dark-colored or all-black costume! IF you have any
questions, just email me and we'll discuss.
Ideas – If you have anything you can contribute (Orf mentioned a silver
reflective shirt I might need to borrow!) or any ideas for games you'd like
to play (whether they be future oriented or NOT) PLEASE send those to me at philaulie@hotmail.com as soon as possible. I'd love some donations (toy
voice modulator, fake lightsabers, other "futuristic" toys and objects) to
make some sort of prop box as well.
Stage – So far all I've planned is decking the stage out in white butcher
paper and hopefully breaking out a few of the old Start Trekkin' props. If
anyone has any sort of futuristic looking stage decoration they might want
to throw into the fray, please suggest them (maybe some IKEA chairs/stools, a poster of a galaxy/space thing, etc etc!)
Show – At the beginning of the show, Doug and I will come out in "normal"
persona and explain to the audience what they are about to see, then we will restart the show as the FUTURE version. The players will enter and a regular game of Maestro will be played with a few MINOR variations. When a player is kicked out of the game, they will be "incinerated" (either by walking through the passageway ONSTAGE to the sound of flames and screaming OR walking out of the back of the theatre to the same sound effects!) In order to somewhat prepare you for the variations of the show, and also to lessen player confusion onstage, I've included a list of some possible games and their variations.
Anyone who wants to play Future Maestro should be at the Hideout at 8:45 on Saturday (if you are not there, your spot will be taken, with the exception
of those performing in the Great Mundane show!). We need to warm-up discuss a few things, and we also need to quickly decorate the theatre as soon as the Great Mundane show is over.
Forward this to any other improvisers who may have expressed interest in
future maestro (I'm looking for a FEW more experienced players to round out the lineup)!
Thank you so much and have a wonderful week! I'll see you on Saturday!
LIST OF POSSIBLE GAMES
Whoogle – The game with no rules and no explanation. (3-4 players)
Hesitation Debate – Debate between two future politicians over futuristic
issues. (2 players)
Quantum Leap – Scene Replay through different historical periods and
locations! (2-3 players)
Blast from the Past – A scene that parodies the year 2008. (2-3 players)
Film Dub – A nonexistent film from the 1990's will be dubbed into the
language of the future. (3-4 players)
Future Goggles – One player possess a pair of future goggles, whenever they put them on, they immediately see what takes place several hours/days in the future. When the goggles are removed, the original scene resumes. (3-4 players)
Hologram Show – Identical to Slideshow except the players in each slide have a few seconds to move and exchange one or two lines, before the slide is explained to the audience. Whatever is said by the players in the slide then must be justified by the player presenting the slide show.(4 players)
Good Advice, Bad Advice, Worst Advice – Possibly set in the future. (4
players)
Spoon River – Historical, all three die at an event in 2020. (3 players)
Butterfly Effect – Two people perform a scene from nothing, then we see
ANOTHER scene in the past that somehow affected the first scene in a tiny
tiny way.
Other than these crazy varied games, we will probably play some regular
games (e-mail me if there are games you'd LIKE to play!) and some other
variations of games, etc.
That should be everything,
Thanks,
-phil"
Again, thanks everyone!

I think it would be even cooler if the players never scored themselves but the directors kept track of it themselves. Hell they could eliminate anyone they want for whatever reason they want... AWESOME! Maybe the players who recently did a scene could stand straight in a line across the stage in a neutral position when they are judged 1 to 5. SWEET! I think having a few "Sandmen" a la Logan's Run would be really really cool.
WAIT: What does the winner get?!? Freedom? Maybe we could turn off all the lights on stage and in the audience. Then the theater door can open with tons of light on and they can walk outside alone... or maybe...
