yeah, yeah, yeah. i don't have a finite bacon number, as i've never appeared in a film (although it seems the rules are slightly more relaxed for academics), but i've also not appeared in a tv show, etc.

my erdos number as far as i can tell is 5 (assuming my paper with dan gets published :) ).

erdos-->f.r. chung-->s.t. yau-->b. chow-->d. knopf-->a. young

if i publish part of my thesis with my advisor, i will have an erdos number of 4, as she was a coauthor of yau's.

Well, you've played with Shana, Shana's played with Dan O'Connor, and I'm sure Dan has a Bacon index, so if we assume stage performance counts toward Bacon index (which is plausible since they've used production crew to get Erdos' Bacon index), then yours should be defined too.

Just sayin'...

If we're counting stage for the bacon index, then we're all up there because one of the Lone Gunman played Micetro at a Big Stinkin'

according to http://oracleofbacon.org/

If you count "Codie Scott", who's listed on imdb as doing mostly extra work, I qualify for a Bacon number of 2:

Arthur Simone was in Big Momma's House 2 (2006) with Codie Scott (I)
Codie Scott (I) was in JFK (1991) with Kevin Bacon

If you're going to qualify it as speaking roles only, my Bacon Number is 3:

Arthur Simone was in Big Momma's House 2 (2006) with Martin Lawrence (I)
Martin Lawrence (I) was in Wild Hogs (2007) with Marisa Tomei
Marisa Tomei was in Loverboy (2005) with Kevin Bacon

(my scene with m.l. got cut, but I still matter.)

Hell, if we're counting scenes that got cut, I've got a Bacon Number of 2, too.

Marc Majcher was in Idiocracy (2006) with Luke Wilson (as an extra in a church scene that was cut, screaming his head off for Satan to beat Jesus in a wrestling match)
Luke Wilson was in My Dog Skip (2000) with Kevin Bacon

I covet the finite Erdos. And Danica McKellar.

Also, I have a 3, all speaking roles:

Shannon McCormick was in Miserables, Les (1998) with Liam Neeson
Liam Neeson was in Love Actually (2003) with Colin Firth
Colin Firth was in Where the Truth Lies (2005) with Kevin Bacon

I have been on stage with Arthur, live near Shannon and had smores with him and his lovely family, so.........I guess that and five bucks will buy me a latte and biscotti.
I also know the wife of a famous tattoo artist that inked Mad TV's Debra Wilson.

Then I have a 4 because I was in Severance with Shannon McCormick...you can do the rest!

A while ago, Dave-o (in Japan now, sometimes known as El Diablo when drunk), and I put together a site called 6 Degrees of 9/11, that helped you trace everything back to 9/11. Sadly, all that remains of it is here.

But it used to have awesome connections like this. Say you started with Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Jennifer Love Hewitt was in Garfield the Movie.
Garfield is a cat.
cats are often chased by dogs.
A type of dog is a dalmation.
Dalmations are a favorite mascot of firemen.
Firemen were the true heroes of...
9/11.

You get the idea.

Cool! Thanks, Ted. I guess Flatland isn't in the Bacontracker database yet.

#1: I was in Footloose with Kevin Bacon. I played the love interest, Ariel.
