Upcoming Cupholder Mini-Run

Post by beardedlamb »

3 fab shows with 3 fab formats you will like to enjoy!

Saturday, March 24 - Aron Taningumbler's Animal Universe featuring local nonfamous artbadass Aron Taylor
Aron Taylor draws in backgrounds live and in real time while the Cupholders improv flowey donut with alacrity and aplomb.

Saturday, March 31 - Texas Chainsaw Musical
The Cupholders take the suggestion of an object and build that object with stock wood and power tools, rhythmically pounding out stomp-like beats and moaning like it means something, before doing their usual superb longform work incorporating the object.

Saturday, April 7 - Battle of the Sexes featuring local disappointments Girls, Girls, Girls.
The audience alone can decide who the superior sex is when it comes to improv, and that's just what they'll do. This is gonna be a barn burner.
PS - This show will also feature a HUGE REVEAL that might blow your mind.

Saturdays March 24, 31 and April 7 - 10:30pm - The Hideout Downstairs - FREE for AIC members (sorry ratliff)

Times are a changing, folks. See the classic Cupholder lineup in their native environs before it morphs into stage two.

I was talking about how interesting it would be to do a format like that and then Kacey told me that she saw the Jury do that a while ago.

I'm tired of hearing that everytime I think of a fun format. You bastards.

You work your life away and what do they give?
You're only killing yourself to live

I can't wait until cartoon network picks this up. We can even patent a thing called Tanimation. (it's like animation, but it's just a live feed of Taningembleur drawing stuff)

Also I like how the spelling of Taninninblrr changes every time. Hard to market though.
They call me Dollar Bill 'cause I always make sense.
