thankx to bill and melissa for such a good time. my family and i had a blast! i believe it was decided that spot #2 from the map is now the OFFICIAL AIC BBQ AND PICNIC SPOT. It truly was a great spot.

next time i will play croquet (pronounced "krokay" but possibly not spelled correctly) because I love it. Bocce would also be a nice addition to the games.

Speaking of games, I would like all of you to think of 10 unusual events (lets make more and then narroww the field) that could be part of the totally unplanned just an idea that was not well thought out yet "Bill Stern Challenge". An example would be to see who could keep a croquet ball in the air by hitting it over and over with a croquet mallet (most consecutive hits without the ball hitting the ground). Here are some others I thought of:

1. The Johnny Mac tennis raquet toss for distance/accuracy
2. "Golfis" chip challenge (chipping a tennis ball with a tennis racket into a trash can)
3. The longest/most accurate opposite hand football toss
4. Bean bag 3 point contest (shooting 20 bean bags like a basketball into a basket from a long distance away...most in wins)

You catch my drift?

You see...I have a theory that Bill Stern is such an awesome physical specimin that he could defeat the champion of each event in one mega event (like a decathalon) without even practicing. This could be alot of fun.

Post event ideas here.

What a great day for a picnic. It was nice to see everyone and visit for a while. There were so many activities going on (croquet, bocce, soccer, guitar, Frisbee, etc.) it felt like a faire; wandering from group to group.

I hope the boys weren???t too rambunctious with the soccer ball; as you could see they get very enthusiastic. Note to Soccer Ball Owner: If it was damaged please let me know and I???ll replace it with an Official 2004 Olympic Soccer ball signed by Pele along with my apologies or, even better, one from Target along with my apologies.

Three cheers for Springtime and people who organize fun stuff to do!

Thanks for comin' out y'all. Ted, Bocce balls showed up with Wes, and Melissa won at that after dominating in croquet. Maybe it should be called the Melissa Challenge. I can't have a challenge named after me... a disease, maybe, but not a challenge.

We should try to put together a bbq on a day when no one has shows to run off to. It would have been huge if everyone who came showed up at the same time. It's so great to spend all day outside. I am feeling more powerful. Recharged by the sun. Thanks, again, from Melissa and I for making our weekend totally awesome!
They call me Dollar Bill 'cause I always make sense.

Thank you for organizing this! It was a lot of fun. We got some sun, hung out with friends, and got dominated by Melissa. I think Melissa Challenge is a WONDERFUL nom de plume for writing, the stage, being in a punk band, or becoming a roller girl.
