I think I can speak for all of Texas when I say...

That's right you're not from Texas
That's right you're not from Texas
That's right you're not from Texas
But Texas loves you anyway.

ok, everytime I feel particularly inspired to talk about how great Austin is, I guess I'll add it to my own awesome Austin thread...

There's this happiness in the air at the hideout. There was a wonderful moment tonight in the greenroom (classroom? what do you guys call it?) pre-TNA. There was a guy jamming on his guitar creating a backdrop for everything, improvisers being all playful and energy-creating together, Chris Trew practicing in a mirror and giving out instructions, a dog being pet like there's no tomorrow in the corner, just this bustling ball of positivity in every corner.

Not to say this doesn't happen backstage in NY. There is definitely the whole pre-show energy thing there, but there seems to be more to the Austin version. There's something more community-like, something more open and honest and raw, something more just plain good for the sake of good. Hell, everybody in the room last Maestro started singing together.

I am happy to be back.

The nielsen ratings are in, and tonight's TNA was the highest rated show in the history of man. anyone new in attendance is sure to come back for more.

Kristin, please forgive my profanities towards chris trew. He's giving away my fireworks and i'm an emotional wreck.

Not to dump on Kristin's love of Austin thread.

But TNA tonight was amazing. YM&G put on one of their best shows of all time and the audience (a LOT of people I'd NEVER seen before) seemed to really enjoy it.

Back to Kristin's love of Austin.

Austin is awesome, and I'm VERY happy that you're already enjoying it here. P.S. Thanks for contributing a LOT to TNA recently (especially candy and business cards tonight!) Yay for Kristin!

I'm digging up this old love of Austin thread because I just had a moment of frustrated tension turn into thankful appreciation of this community.

I locked my keys in my scooter and have had a bunch of obstacles, and I was thinking about the craziness then realized that so many people helped me out yesterday and today... giving me rides, places to crash, places to wheel my scooter into, mechanical help, moral support. All these wonderful helpful people were improvisers.

Austin is still awesome.

Does watching and laughing count as helping out? Because if so, you're welcome.

I am confused. Not to sidetrack, but how do you lock your keys in your scooter? Where do they get locked away in exactly?

Austin is awesome.

In the storage space under the seat.
1) Insert key into ignition and turn left.
2) Seat pops open.
3) Do miscellaneous scooter prep activities.
4) Remove key from ignition to unlock disc lock (on wheel) and place disc lock in seat compartment.
5) Do other miscellaneous scooter prep activities. At some point absentmindedly place keys in seat compartment.
6) Close seat ready to drive, get on bike.
7) There is no key in the ignition.

On the up side, now we know how to break into any given scooter like that without the use of a crowbar...

I have several responses to that:
-first we must find a suitable scooter
-we should form a scooter gang
-if we applied the kind of energy it takes to hijack a scooter to something productive, we could most likely accomplish alot more
-I wouldn't have it any other way
