Cinco de Mayo is NOT the Mexican Independence Day. That would be September 10th. The fifth of May is the anniversary of a Mexican victory over the French, who were causing all kinds of mischief in Mexico while we were occupied with our own Civil War.

Heh. I learned this last year when No Pant's Day was on Cinco De Mayo.
Man, those mexican culture kids at UT were so pissed when they thought we were just there to make fun of their holiday. They refused to believe that it was just a coincidence and we had to move to another area of UT.
