So, the Advertising Committee is looking for special, dedicated people to take on specific projects. If you want to contribute, but always feel spread too thin or like your tasks lack focus, these jobs will be your chance to give back in a concrete, beneficial, and focused manner.

First Thursday Coordinator
We are looking for someone willing to coordinate the AIC's First Thursday initiatives. We want someone who is creative, responsible, and driven to see the AIC succeed and grow beyond it's current size and popularity.

In the past, First Thursdays have been pretty much limited to straight-flyering, but if you took on this role, you could make this event function just about anyway you wanted. Flyering is fine, but if you want to build a miniture golf course hole and have people put for free tickets, that would be great. If you want to stage a fake debate to draw a crowd, more power to you. You would have the creative control to focus on this event and make it your own...to make it successful.

It would be your responsibility to gather volunteers once a month to spread the word about the AIC at First Thursday on South Congress (and to make sure it happens, even if you can't be there yourself.) you would also need to work closely with the Advertising Committee (meeting attendence is not rquired if you can't make the meeting times, but e-mails and other correspondence would be). We can discuss budgets for projects or rewards for participants.

I am interested in this position, but will not be able to make the meeting. I'd also like to speak with a few people before 'officially' running. Is there a way we can bump this to next month?
