Tight's one location, one long scene format

Post by kaci_beeler »

Tight,
I just wanted to tell you guys how much I love the format you've been doing for the past few weeks. I saw the Barber Shop and Detention shows and loved them so very much. I haven't been that thoroughly entertained during an improv show in a long time. I cared about the characters, their backgrounds, their relationships, and most importantly, what they were going to do next. Those have been the kind of shows I think about in detail later, and quote to people who didn't see the show and make them laugh almost as hard as I did at the time.
Great job.
I have a lot of respect for you guys.

-Kaci

I, too, stand by my statements following the baraber shop show.
I have not been that entertained by improv in 6 months, easy. It was incredible. Compelling, witty, complex yet accessible...perfect.

I wanted to thank you guys for your kind words. I was going to reply earlier but, anytime I log in to post something it takes me about a week before I can get in!!!! My password never seems to work. Anyways now I am rambling. Thank you guys!!!! It is always rewarding to hear the audiences response when we have a good show but for me it is even more rewarding to hear positive responses from my peers!!

I caught the "Barber Shop" show and it was some of the most entertaining improv I've seen in the past 6 months. I'm in awe.

Thanks y'all. It was really cool to read this thread.

I'm really excited for everything going on recently. I feel like people are doing all sorts of different things -- taking risks and trying new things -- and it's spurning us all on to push ourselves in different ways. I really haven't been this overall excited in a long time. Yay!
