A new twist on an old night of 'prov

Post by phlounderphil »

March 4th 2006 will be a day that will live in infamy, for a new form of improvised shortform will be descending upon the Hideout theatre.

Future Maestro!

Imagine a night of Maestro that pushes the boundaries of Maestro as we know it, this is future Maestro, where the improv comedy of a century from now will be somewhat-accurately recreated at the epicenter of central Texas improv, the Hideout.

Future Maestro will involve some costumes, some post-apocalyptic dystopian directing, some games that will make no sense and might not even have any rules. This will be future Maestro.

IF you are interested (and interesting) in helping to organize (I'll be directing this) and more importantly PLAY Future Maestro, send me a private message here or email me (philaulie@hotmail.com/me@youmeandgreg.com). It's important to contact me now as this Maestro will take a bit of preparation (even for the players) and will require perhaps a brief meeting the week of the show to go over some of the more zany ideas. We also need to coordinate costuming, etc.

This will be the first of a monthly themed Maestro. Other themed Maestros might include more Musical Maestro, Orphan Maestro, Maestro Menagerie, and many more ideas.......Maybe a Beach Party Maestro in the summer, Super-Hero Maestro, etc etc etc

if you've got your OWN idea for a themed maestro, please present these to me as well and I will do everything in my own humble power to make sure it happens sooner rather than later.

Thank you so much,
-Phil

I LOST THE LIST OF PEOPLE'S EMAILS WHO WERE INTERESTED IN HELPING WITH FUTURE MAESTRO.

this is because I am an idiot.

This show is happening in LESS than two weeks and now I definitely need to know who's interested in playing. It's going to be a first come, first served show...although if some (highly experienced) players show interest, I might kindly ask some others who play Maestro frequently to give up their spots. This is going to be an insane night of improv and the show will definitely require some preparation. So I need to know if you are interested NOW! please.

thank you so very much!
