Tuesday Night Jam - 02/06/07

Post by Wesley »

Once again it is Jam time!

I don't have a plan of action just yet (as I am illicitly typing this post in the back of a business meeting), but I'll develop one over lunch.

Same time as always (7-10) at the Hideout.

Wes, are you cutting it short tonight to do Trivia at the Carousel tonight?

Yay! Tuesday night jam! I'll be there like those monster truck commericals tell me to be at their events, except I'm actually going to show up at the right place, and I'll be sober, and I'll have pants on!

Oh, and I might bring a camera in case anything sexy goes down.

I have a slight feeling I'm going to kick serious boo-tay tonight, since I've been doing workshop after workshop for the past two weeks.

I really enjoyed tonights Jam. I hope to have more Tuesdays free in the future so I can come by. We'll just see how it goes.

I was nice to see such a large attendance at the jam, especially since there was someone there improvising for the very first time. What was the story on him, Wes?

Thank you all for coming out. My dream of rebuilding my cult...er, the jam...is slowly coming to fruition. But it couldn't be done without you guys and gals.

Last night we had up to about 15 people, including a lot of experienced players and old-school jammers like Eric, Andrea, James, Matt, Aden and more. We also had a new guy, Mike, who drove up from San Antonio for this and apparently had a blast. He's taken some stand-up classes and heard about this via Fred Bothwell of all people. Who knew? I don't think Fred's ever even come, has he? Maybe during my Lindy Hop hiatus?

Anyway, I had a lot of fun and I hope you all did, too. We kept it tight and moving and covered a lot of cool game work and skill stuff. I already have some ideas for next week, so spread the word and let's rock improv in Austin.

TEACHERS PLEASE TELL YOUR CLASSES ABOUT IT!

I was actually at the Jam that Fred came to. I don't know if he's been to more than one. I think that was the first time I met him. He was a very good Jammer. Odd bird. Good Jammer.

That jam was jammerific! 12 people at its peak, Fight Club meets Star Wars (HIS NAME IS ROBERT PAULSON!), and I got the mock show on tape, with perfect audio!

I'll try to upload the footage later.
