WORRY FREE ADVOCACY: WHAT NONPROFITS CAN DO! - FULL DAY - FEBRUARY 8TH; tuition now $60 including lunch!
Alliance for Justice is the national leader in providing informative and entertaining trainings on the rules of advocacy for nonprofit organizations. As AFJ enters its fifth year offering our Worry Free Advocacy trainings, the Texas Association of Nonprofit Organizations (TANO) and the Center for Community-Based and Nonprofit Organizations is honored to bring AFJ back to Texas for the third time.
The full-day legal learning opportunity led by two of the Alliance's expert and experienced attorneys is priced to be available to as many people and organizations as possible.
During the Conference for nonprofit managers, staff and volunteers, the attorney-trainers will teach the rules so that you can answer questions such as:
* What is lobbying?
* How much can our 501 (c) (3) lobby?
* Can we ask foundations for grants for lobbying?
* Can we produce a voter’s guide or invite candidates to speak?
In addition, Richard W. Meyer, TANO Vice-President for Public Policy, will brief the participants on what is taking place at the Texas Legislature that is of special interest to the Nonprofit Sector of Texas. Meyer represents TANO on governmental, public policy and legislative issues that may arise before legislative, governmental bodies or agencies at the state, federal or local levels.
