I've been listening to this on repeat for like 3 days. Anyone work in computers? You should hear this too. Great simple chord progression (but not too simple). Great fun lyrics (but not too fun) composed in a style all their own which makes sense with the theme of the piece. And as a huge bonus to me, the guy who is singing has a lovely soothing voice. Love it.
They call me Dollar Bill 'cause I always make sense.

Love it.
Ditto. It changes up in all the right places both musically and story-wise. I keep coming back to it.

I could also give you "Re: Your Brains" which I almost put on there as well. It is about working in an office when your supervisor becomes a homicidal zombie.

I was very happy to see a Coulton song on Majcher's mix as well.

And Bob, once again loving your mix. I keep going over it.

Sorry about that. You can see how often I make mix CDs for people, I thought they would come up on your computer.

The playlist ended up being:

1.) Let's Start - Fela Kuti and Ginger Baker (Live)
2.) T.I.B.W.F. - Budos Band
3.) Dee Moo Woor - Youssou N'Dour and Orchestra BaoBab
4.) Pauvre Type - Amadou et Mariam
5.) Bul Ma Min - Orchestra BaoBab
6.) Toubala Kono - Amadou et Mariam
7.) Soro - Salif Keita
8.) Mystery - The Ethiopiques
9.) No Agreement - Femi Kuti
10.) The Volcano Song - Budos Band
11.) Ayama Tiyamya - Ayama Tiyamya
12.) Mbaar - Orchestra Baobab
13.) Tante Marie - Orchestra Baobab

Apologies for using more than one track from the same group, but as you can hear in the case of the Senegal-based but pan-African music of Orchestra Baobab - the tracks differ substantially between eras and albums (in part because the players also differed).

If I want to post a link to a song on this board - how do I do that? Do I have to host it myself somewhere?

This is what I recorded from my itunes, which does indeed vary from the original post.

Does your mother know/ABBA
God Only Knows/Beach Boys
Into The Night/Benny Mardones
Dance Away/ Bryan Ferry
Brandy/Cover
Love Plus One/Echo and the Bunnymen
Mystery Dance/Elvis Costello
The Way/Fastball
Hey Julie/Fountains of Wayne
Michael/Franz
Private Room Bible/Gherkin
Kick Inside/Kate Bush
Hot Child in the City/Nick Gilder
Silly Love Songs/Wings
Steal Away/Robbie Dupree
Escape/Rupert Holmes
Drop it/Snoop
My Name is Jonas/Weezer

It includes the Echo and the Bunnymen, and does not have the additional Kate Bush song.

Just call it Julie's Emerging Alzheimer's Mix and forgive me my techno sins.

You have a 14th track on the CD.

I am feeling self-consciously anal at this point.

I just want to know what the songs are that I am enjoying.

I am now feeling self consciously paranoid. Anyone else having problems with my mix? Did I burn the wrong mix? Its possible you know. I'm capable of those kinds of fuck ups. I am.

I think Asaf's last comment was for Miggy, not you, Julie. You have well over 14 tracks, while Miggy has his list out to 13. Just thought you should know.

Did you hear about the paranoid dyslexic?

He spent all day worried that he was following someone.

I now return you to your regular playlist thread.

Ok - now I'm the paranoid one. I just double checked my list and it's accurate.

I'm happy to listen to your disc the next time I see you, Asaf, to tell you what track I mistakenly put on your mix. It wasn't intentional.

Thanks Asaf! I just read the tracklisting again and it looks so schitzo, but I know I had reasons for ordering it the way I did.

I'm finally about to delve into these mixes this afternoon... Thanks again to Val for orchestrating this thing!

Roy, thank you for having Railroad Bill on there. I have not heard that song in so long.

I was wondering if you had any Moxy Fruvous.
