IFE presents The APOCALYPSE!

Post by vine311 »

It took 7 days to create the world. It will take 7 improvisers to destroy
it. Improv for Evil, Austin's most sinister improv troupe, will take the
most harmless of suggestions and twist it into a harbinger of death and
destruction. Join us every Thursday night in February at Coldtowne Theater for the end of existence.

APOCALYPSE! Your suggestion destroys the world.

Man, February is going to create a rift in the time/space continuum, I know it. We've got Shannon relating stories of early Dutch sailing, PGraph spinning tales of the 1930s, and IFE bringing us the apocolypse. This should rock.

Awesome show evil improvisors! A first-time improv audience member was there, too, and thought it was fantastic.

Awesome! Thanks Montana. We had a blast doing the show and we look forward to destroying the world for the next three weeks.

Well, we'd get an audience member up on stage and ask them to tell us about a not very interesting thing that happened to them that day. We'd then take their their story and show how that little, boring, everyday thing set off a sequence of events that snowballed until it either A) destroyed the world or B) saved all of mankind.

We had some great moments in our attempts to tell these stories, but being beginning imps, we'd inevitably hang ourselves with too many offers and too much plot.

But HEY! Now that we're nearing our 1 year anniversary show (Saint Patrick's Day), we may need to go back to the "Butterfly Effect" form for a show or two and see what we can do with it.
