Just about anybody can be a part of Edinburgh Fringe, as long as you're willing to pay a ton of money to rent out your theater space. It's not set up quite like other festivals, where if your show is accepted you just show up and perform. Every troupe foots their own bill and has to get their own audience... unless you get some angel of a sponsor.
