ColdTowne Conservatory Masters Classes #3: Clifton Highfield
Well, something has come up, and while Jesse Parent is STILL coming to teach in February, we've got another improv pal who's coming into town earlier than that so he's got the #3 slot.
He's going to be teaching on Sunday January 21st. Bio, Workshop info, etc coming soon!

Clifton Highfield [far right], an Improv Olympic alum, has made his mark performing two man improv with Men in Shirts across North America. Since 2001, Clifton has performed in festivals in Chicago, Miami, Phoenix, San Francisco, Ann Arbor, Toronto (Canada) Waterloo (Canada), and Brisbane (Australia). He has taught, directed, and coached improv teams across the U.S., and Australia, including Brisbane’s first Harold Team. Clifton bases his improv on two basic principles, commitment to emotion and physicality. His performance and teaching styles are filled with the manic energy of a man who loves and respects the art of improv.
Workshop: Commitment to emotion and physicality
Sunday January 21, 1:00p-4:00p @ The ColdTowne Theater
Cost: $20
Do you have trouble creating characters? Do you find yourself creating great characters only to have them disintegrate into nothing by the middle of the scene? This workshop is devoted to two basic principals, emotion and physicality. By committing to your own emotions, you can unlock the characters within you, and through your physicality, you can make those characters do things, instead of just talking about doing things.
Sign ups begin now.
You know my spiel - Take advantage of learning improv from visiting instructors. Clif is mega-excited about swinging through Austin because he's heard so much great stuff about us. Let's show him he's right.

Hey guys!
I'm so glad to be introduced to the improv community in Austin!
I look forward to seeing Asaf, and the Coldtowne folks again. It's been so long since Toronto, and now Coldtowne has a theatre and everything!!! Sooooo awesome.
I also look forward to meeting all you other Austinites for the first time.
Keep rockin,
Clifton
