"Improv Maxima is an eight week workshop that takes you past the games and into the world of long-form, what it takes to build a successful and cooperative comedy troupe by exercising your strong attributes while breaking through your weaknesses as an improviser. Focusing on character development, scene commitment and making smart decisions on stage as well as comedy sketch development through improvised scenes.
ANDY RUSSELL has been performing, directing, writing and teaching improv and sketch comedy for over 10 years. A current cast member of "Esther's Follies" Andy has preformed with Chicago's ImprovOlympic's "Baby Wants Candy". He studied under the late great Del Close for three years and wrote and preformed with "Lone Star Comedy" in Dallas, Texas.
The workshop is recommended for the experienced improviser who wants to breakthrough to the next level of their talent. Starting October 26th, 2005 Improv Maxima will run for eight weeks Wednesdays from 7:00PM - 10:00PM at Twenty bucks a class.. Only 15 people per class.
