What's the name of the guy you know?ratliff wrote:Now I feel bad for having mentioned it.
I found a website that credits the song to The Fatman and some dude named McDermott.
The Fatman's an Austin native, so it's likely that you just know one of his co-conspirators.
You work your life away and what do they give?
You're only killing yourself to live
I now have CDs from:

I will be bringing my CDs with me when I come down. In which case, I am taking time putting together the mix.
Currently, my theme is Asaf's Mix of Extended Metaphors and Premises. The puzzle disk that I was going to do was not coming together and with the upcoming move, I couldn't devote anymore brainspace to that. Maybe next time.

I made this this so I could add my cd's to my itunes. I decided to share it because it made my life a little easier...although, in the spirit of kareem, you'll have to put up with the lamenamejokes i added. Since I already made a joke about kareem here, he will not receive a lamenamejoke.

Dollar Billps's Epic Soundscape
1. 3030 - Deltron 3030: The first musical track from the concept album in which Del the Funkee Homosapian (Deltron) teams up with Dan the Automator (Automator) to tell the story of his secession from the Galactic Rhym Federation to go freelance and be the best.
2. Tribute (special ORIGINAL edition from the HBO show) - Tenacious D: Ok I had to hook my dvd player to the computer to record this one so you could hear the WAY WAY WAY better version of the song that tells the epic story of the greatest song in the world. This is my favorite concept for a song.
3. Tweeter and the Monkey Man - The Traveling Wilburys: My favorite super group. The Wilburys were Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynn. 'Nuf Said.
4. The Last in Line - Dio: I saw some clips of Ronnie James Dio doing a live show. He seems to just improvise epic sounding lyrics about wizards, rainbows, and shadows.... Sweet. I'm also pretty sure he's not from this planet.
5. Buenas Tardes Amigo - Ween: The lyrics are so perfect you can finish them even if you've never heard the song before.
6. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - Main Title / Ecstasy of Gold: City of Prague Philharmonic & Victor Young: Ecstasy of Gold makes me tear up almost evry time I hear it. And I've never even seen the movie.
7. See the Joy - RZA: Wu-Tang formed like voltron and RZA just happened to be the head. This song is from one of his solo albums, and it chronicles the epic journy of how every human life begins.
8. Icarus' Dream Suite Opus 4 - Yngwie J. Malmsteen: Greatest shredder ever. My favorite song of his. The piano in the background is beautiful.
9. Red Headed Stranger - Willie Nelson: This is the title track from Nelson's major breakout album. It was a concept album about a preecher on the run after murdering his wife and her lover.
10. Nights in White Satin (Including "Late Lament") - The Moody Blues & London Festival Orchestra: Ahhh, love. Talk about Epic. Powerful stuff.
11. 2112 - Rush: This song is 20 minutes long. Its really like a bunch of little songs that tell the story of a grim future, but it flows and it really is one track on their album. The drummer (Neil Peart) writes the Lyrics for Rush. He was a Lit. major. The album says "Dedicated to the genius of Ayn Rand" on the inside cover. Do you hate me yet? I love this epic rock opera. I don't wanna give too much away, but the protagonist finds a guitar in a cave and the oppresive leaders take it from him and force him to go back to the status quo. Awsome.
Crank up the volume and have your mind exploded by this EPIC SOUNDSCAPE!!!
