Is January 20th still the date that this thing is going to happen? I have co-workers who are wanting to donate appliances and stuff to the cause.beardedlamb wrote: if we're talking dates, i'm thinking jan 20 maybe.
i wil contact people interested in helping on this pretty soon and the more people say they can donate, the better i feel about going forward with it.
thanks,
beard

That is sad. Reason being that two to three months is a long time to continue holding stuff. My coworker is really looking to get rid of her things now (actually a month ago, but she's been holding on to them to donate to AIC). I want to donate my stuff to the sale, but I'm probably just going to sell them myself. I'm really ready to replace my furniture. Just like she's really ready to clean out her place. That's alot of stuff.
Unless....is there somewhere we can store things and stock pile them until then? That would almost be better anyway because there would be a lot of time to gather stuff.
SO, yes I've got furniture, she has furniture and appliances. I'm thinking that would be an awful lot to put in your place for storage.

All of that sounded snippier than I intended. Sorry about that.

At the risk of regretting this later...you can store stuff in my garage if you would like. It's a bit cluttered at the moment but with just a few minutes of moving shit around we could clear out quite a bit of storage space.

That's sounding pretty awesome. It'd basically be the couch, coffee table, side table, and TV from me. So far all I know of for sure from my coworker is she's definitely donating a microwave and a box of irons (at least that's what she said. I know. I thought it sounded weird too.)

i, too have a shed that could hold some more things if rearranged. i'll take whatever so long as it can live out in the non-climate controlled environs of the shed.
we'll hook that transfer up. jason let me know when your garage is ready cuz i'll probably be the one transporting these things.

ok - my recliner is still available. I can throw in an old 13" tv, too, that has been collecting dust in my closet. Other stuff is smaller and I can bring myself later if necessary.

I don't mind if stuff is stored in the garage Jason and I use as long as my stuff does not got lost in the mix when people pick stuff up. A lot of my stuff looks like it might be for a garage sale, but is not. Props/costumes/old timey doo-dads from years gone by and yet to come.vine311 wrote:At the risk of regretting this later...you can store stuff in my garage if you would like. Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.
