Funny! As we were cleaning out closets I found a rather large "book" about two feet by one, in red cardboard..."Stories by Julie Elizabeth Gillis" scrawled across the front.
Inside is lined school paper, reading:
"The New Year" dated 1-19-1977
Well this is a new year, Candy. What is a new year, sis? Its ah well I really don't know. Go ask mom. Hmmm. What is a new year I ask myself. I am supposed to know. Oh, I am going to forget it.

Odd, that I didn't have sister/
I bet many of you weren't born at the time I wrote that profound treatise on the futility of the yearly marking of time.
