Saturday morning: 10-12
GOOD META: BASHING DOWN THE FOURTH WALL
Everything you do on stage and in life is food for a
scene. Use the whole buffalo. This workshop will help
you recognize that you are constantly generating
material for scenework, and how to tear down the
fourth wall and use it all... scenically, not cheaply.
Class is limited to 15 students.

Saturday afternoon: 1-6
THE HOOK: INTENSIVE
Find your inner poet and use it to take that
suggestion in new directions. The Hook is an improv
form that combines slam poetry, musical soundscapes,
and ensemble improv to make improv that looks like a
poem. This format is now being performed by groups in
Boston, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City. At its
heart is a source provided by improvised slam poetry
with an a capella musical backdrop. Learn how to find
your poetic voice, leverage patterns, and have fun
while doing it.
There will be a recital for all students taking this
class at 7PM on the day of the class.
Class is limited to 9 students.
$50
