Script Workshop! (??)

Post by ChrisTrew.Com »

Soooooooo, here's my deal.
Back in 2004 I wrote a large chunk of a screenplay called "Best Men."
I took my first big break from it when I started doing improv later that year. Improv took over that part of my brain and then in early 2005 I went back to it, enlisting the help of many improv friends. They helped me workshop it, etc., and I was in the finishing stages. Then a Hurricane came and knocked me to Austin.

Soooooooo, I need to re-associate myself with it, get back into it, so I can wrap it up, put it in my finished pile and start work on the next one.

I'm looking for:
- A few people who want to read it and give me some feedback. (Note: I love harsh feedback. I need it. Don't be nice to me.) I will give you a copy and a big black marker.

or

- Some people who want to sit around a table with a copy of it and read the entire thing (110 pages) out loud while jotting down notes to themselves in little notebooks with little pens that will be provided while I listen (for the first time) how these words sound coming from mouths and not my head.

or

- Anyone who has done this before to give me one last slap in the formatting face to make sure everything is tidy.

or

- Anything else that you can think of. I'm free most days.

Thank you for reading this. PM me if you're interested.

I'd love to read a copy, but I prefer marking in red. It's the editor in me.

I'd be happy to take a look-see and help out where I can.

I have final draft, and about five features written myself. You can send it to me...and I'll try to read it at some point, though my schedule is so busy...but I will try if you like.

Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

Whoa whoa whoa:
Here is a copy online-
http://studio8.net/Terp/BestMen.pdf

I'd like to again note- nice things are nice, but I'm not really interested in that. Tell me mean, awful things. If you're up for it.

Thanks!
