Smuggling: Saturday

Post by ratliff »

I don't normally get all up in your kool-aid about my bands, but enough people have asked me about this show that I am announcing it here:

Diamond Smugglers
11:30 Saturday Dec. 9
Continental Club

Honeypot opens.

It will be fun, for sure, and crowded. Come early to ensure a prime spot.

Ha! wow, the singer for Honeypot is the former singer for my band. I'm curious! I have a birthday bash to attend, but perhaps after I could make it out to the show.

What kind of music do you guys play?

diamonds in the rough, super diamond, blue diamond ... they are all so much chaff before the scythe of the diamond smugglers.

I'm going to try to make it. If I get there a bit late, will I still be able to get in or do you think it will sell out?

This was a great show! And you were right, I was surprised several times by the number of Neil Diamond songs out there that I didn't know were ND songs!

Many thanks to Improv Nation for representing. For those of you who missed it, please know that the Diamond Smugglers are like Adam Sandler movies: We show up two or three times a year regardless of whether anyone wants to see us.

I particularly enjoyed "Now I'm In Her Beaver." And within the N. Diamond oeuvre, there can never be too much gesticulating to one's private area.
