Fundraising Report

Post by Jules »

Hey ya'll. Back from the meeting and about to run off to a fambly funksion, so a brief report on my first AIC meeting....awwww.

1) There will be a meeting of me and some other folk in January to talk about fundraising goals and planning and how our fundraising works in a non-profit structure.

2) Asaf is going to be producing an "AIC Marketing/Fundraising/PR" piece, your basic and lovely brochure which explains us.

3) Roy and others are going to think about why we would raise money (in a non-profit way) and

4)Jeremy is spearheading a really fun idea to raise money in a profit way. Look for his posts on that. The event should be in January.

5) Roy also had a fun idea for a 24 hour improvathon thing with pledges.

All of us agreed that marketing and fundraising should stay tied together with similar language and the goal of capturing customer data.
This year might be one in which we can determine whether the AIC serves a community purpose more in a non-profit or in a for profit way and that determination will help us decide in which way we increase our funding.

I think those were the main points. Other than not spreading ourselves too thin.

Actually, Ace Manning will spearhead anything if there's money involved.

Awesome.

Maybe you missed my meaning: By 'spearhead' I meant "put his penis in," and by 'awesome' I meant "What I just wrote is totally awesome."

As far as what you posted is concerned. I am so down for gimmiky improv fundraising. After doing pirate improv on the street for children and bums, I'm just about ready for anything.

Oh, that Ace. He's a caution.
Perhaps our 2007 fundraising theme, should be "Pimpin' the AIC".
