Interested in taking on a private English student? $30/hour

I have a fantastic 8 year old that I tutor in spelling, reading, and writing. Her family is here from Korea for the rest of the year and possibly part of next year. They do not speak English very well, but the little girl is 100% conversationally fluent (for a kid anyway.)

Unfortunately I will no longer be able to teach her, my schedule is too crazy, and they live out in Avery Ranch.

If you are interested in taking over the position, here are the details. Currently they pay $30 hourly and we meet twice a week for one hour each session. She's a bright, funny and motivated student so she's very easy to work with. Lesson plans so far have focused on new vocab from whatever book she chooses that we read together. I give her a spelling quiz from the list, if she get's 100% we play an English puzzle game. It's an easy gig, and very rewarding.

Take this offer. You want this job.

Sounds cool, but it would cost $30 just to drive up there : )

Actually, it depends on what kind of car you drive. For example my Jetta only costs about $10 bucks to drive there and back twice a week. So that's still $50 bucks extra a week that I bring in.

If you already live up North, why it would cost you virtually nothing...

BUT don't let the cost of gas get in your way from tutoring a darling, sweet 8 year old girl. She needs you. She just wants to learn how to read and write good!

By the way, they'd love it if I introduced them to another female teacher. They'd be less trusting of a guy teaching their little girl, but it's not out of the question.
