It's that time again!
Time to start thinking about scheduling shows at the Hideout for March and April.
Over the next week or so, please get with your respective troupes and reply back with some information concerning your troupe's availability for Thursdays and Fridays in March and April.
We will try to accommodate all teams who reply before Friday Feb 3 in time to release a March/April Schedule by February 15.
In case you forgot here are the available time slots, with corresponding dates.
THURSDAYS
8 pm--SHOWCASE-- One team with a 90 minute slot to program as they wish. (Their own 90 minute improv or sketch set or split the bill with another group, or whatever you fancy...) Team does a door split with the Hideout and provides their own box office person and lights/sound person and advertising
Available Thursdays:
(3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27)
(Note--only teams with proven audience drawing power will be considered for Thursday Showcase slots)
FRIDAYS
8pm -- FRIDAY IMPROV THREEFER -- Three Teams each get 20-25 minutes to highlight their stuff. Each team will get 1/6 of the door with the other half going to the Hideout. Box Office and Tech/Lighting are provided, please make sure Intro music is given to the assigned Booth Technician.
10pm – AUSTIN STYLE IMPROV SHOW -- Two teams. One Style. Two 30-40 minute Sets. One Show. This schedule, we are asking assigned teams to contact the other troupe performing with you to match up styles. (Armando, Quest, Sketch, etc.).
If there is a certain form or style you'd like to perform let us know and we'll do our best to pair you up with a team that would like to do that too. Teams each receive 1/4 of the door with the other half going to the Hideout. Box Office and Tech/Lighting are provided, please make sure Intro music is given to the assigned Booth Technician.
1130pm – AUSTIN CAGEMATCH -- Each week two teams face off in 22 minute shows each. The style and format is up to them. At the end of 22 minutes, the lights are called and at the end of the show the audience votes to decide who comes back the following Friday night to defend their title. Teams receive no split of the door with half going to the Hideout, the other half going into a separate account for the Austin Improv Co-op. Box Office and Tech/Lighting are provided; please make sure all intro music is given to the assigned Booth Technician.

SATURDAYS
8pm -- MAINSTAGE SHOW -- For 4-6 week increments, Austin's veteran teams will highlight original forms and bring back classic shows. Shows like Star Trekkin', The Giants of Improv, Lyrix, Gorilla Theatre. Produced by the Heroes of Comedy.

1st SATURDAY OF THE MONTH 11:30(ish) pm -- IMPROV LAB -- A Slot for Experimental Performance. If you have a form or a show idea you would like to try, this is the show to schedule. Scheduled the first Saturday of each month. Show starts roughly 10 minutes after Maestro closes and is free to anyone who has just seen the Maestro. Otherwise it's only $2!

When you submit, please include the following information:
1. Name of Troupe
2. Your Main Contact's Name/ Phone number/ E-mail address
3. Which time slots/shows are your team's preference.
and 4.Which dates your troupe will be available perform/host.
for example:
Team Awesome is available 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31 and 4/14.
We can host any of those dates too.
We like the Three-fer slots, but would like to do a "Narrative-Musical Show with Team Bitchin'. Team Awesome would also like to enter the CageMatch under the name Kick Ass. You can contact Joe Improviser at joe@awesome.com regarding Team Awesome and Kick Ass.
Even if you have already sent us word indicating your teams interest in playing, please send a new e-mail with the above availability information.

Speaking of styles...
Has anyone ever done/have interest in doing "The Movie" for a style show? I have yet to consult ColdTowne on this, but I think it'd be super fun.
