The AIC at Cap City
That is what I said. Now sound off!
Are you...
- interested
- willing to promote (they won't)
- willing to not get paid (all shows will be free)
?

What are we talking here, a tier one show? Or something special?
And fuck yeah, I'm interested REGARDLESS. New audiences are a good thing.

I'd be interested if they were willing to do a little promotion. I like the idea of getting more audiences, but I don't want the AIC to dilute itself. I don't know. I'm into the Hideout/Coldtowne collab.

I'm alwyas willing to play more places, but I agree with Julie. If they want us to play for free and promote ourselves, that seems a little shitty. If we're gonna do that, we may as well just play another show at CTT or The Hideout on a weeknight (which is what Cap City would probably give us anyway)
You work your life away and what do they give?
You're only killing yourself to live
I say we do it as a monthly show, and treat it more as a promotional showcase... get people interested in improv, give them a sample, and promote the hell out of our own shows/venues.

back in the day - between back back in the day and back in the day - some folks from comedy sportz would do a monthly, midnight, PORN BLUE, (sometimes musical) short form show. it was very fun. They were called the Murky Doors? I only played once or twice - but it was such a good time....my favortie scene I still remember was a dirty dirty long game of "sing it". also there was a pertty big happy crowd of an audience too. I like the dirty musical.
- good times.

I have mixed feelings, being spread as thin as we are and all that. I would be for a monthly gig on a night when most people don't have shows or other improv conflicts (Monday or Wednesday maybe?)
It would be a good way to expose new people to the art form.
I wish they'd help advertise it, though, or at least let us leave up a bunch of flyers and the like, though they might not be excited about advertising for competing venues.

whomever represents the AIC at cap city should be encouraged to do an Armando or similar format. if the point of doing a show there is to bring in a new audience to regular AIC shows, it should be easily digestible by the standup crowd to leave them wanting more.

I like the AIC Invades theme, that's good. And maybe once a quarter kind of thing.
I think we can work it out, but we need to keep our energies locked into the improv goodness already cooking.
