Wes, go edit a fucking science textbook and save your long-winded scribbling for high school students. Sweet Jesus.

Dude, this is the "I'm a new user to your program and your architecture had better be self-apparent" information crap that I do all day.

I spent an hour and a half in a meeting the other day to determine nothing more than the font (Helvetica 14!), the color, and the spacing of a single website element for two books. Oy, a grand use of my time, let me tell you.

Besides, high school students care less for my long-winded rants than you do. :-(

Yeah and another thing is that the damned thing still hasn't reached a full release yet, albeit it's close. So essentially we're dicking with a beta product. Another point against Exponent.

On the other hand, even in this beta version, the code behind it takes advantage of the MVC model, which is super super cool. Meaning your application data is separate from your Presentation logic.

I've only done some minor beatings to Exponent but it makes ample use of Smarty Templates, which I am a big fan of.

So those little .tpl files are the way to modify the look of things. Finding out which one is the one that will do your dirty work is the problem though.

One thing that might help is to upgrade to the newest version. Hopefully they have more documentation. But then again, that might just be a LOT more trouble than anyone would be willing to spend.

I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but all I want out of the website that i'm not getting is more linkage.

I'd like to see that mighty picture of chris trew, click on it, and be transported to the TNA website.

I'd like to be able to click on the troupe's names for shows and be taken to their personal websites so I can learn more about them. The new troupes page layout is awesome. However, I'm talking about making the names on the opening page links as well.

...also, I think it would be cool if there was a recent video clip of something up front somewhere as a sample...if there's room. Clicking on it to make it full screen would link you to a youtube or googlevideo page with all the other AIC videos linked within it.

...so no one is even going to read any of these science books that I wrote?
