the only dark lining to this silver cloud is that the press is going to ask Pelosi about her grandkids every single fucking day and she'll respond every single fucking day about how great kids are.

First woman speaker of the house... ever!

Woo!

It was interesting hearing how people voted a straight democratic ticket for the first time in their life, just cos they were really pissed off.

Forgive me if Pelosi doesn't excite me. I'm not anti-woman by any means, but she doesn't even have the decency to try and hide her evil. She is shamelessly partisan to the extent of punishing democrats who don't vote the party line; she slings mud as well and as often as anyone; and, as Arthur mentioned, she puts her grandkids in the firing line... plus that awful laugh.

I realize the benefits of her blah blah blah... but she's the reason that people like me think that politicians are evil. Even when the Republicans disgust me as much as they do right now, I find no friendly haven in the arms of the Democrats (who will likely grope me anyway).

If you're looking for a good female Dem for leadership, get one of the girls from The Dixie Chicks... not the singer because she's kind of a fatty. Plus that would prevent them from recording gay-ass songs.

Well, evil or not, you'd better get used to them:
Politicians Sweep Midterm Elections
WASHINGTON, DC—After months of aggressive campaigning and with nearly 99 percent of ballots counted, politicians were the big winners in Tuesday's midterm election, taking all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, retaining a majority with 100 out of 100 seats in the Senate, and pushing political candidates to victory in each of the 36 gubernatorial races up for grabs.
