Everything else, basically.

Mostly Awesome. Only two tracks that I don't like. If you liked Painkiller, then you should give this a spin. Nobody can scream like Halford...nobody.

Dio is a very close second, followed by Tom Araya.

Somewhere in the shuffle between moving offices, apartments and then evacuating, I lost an entire book of CDs. Mostly low circulation CDs--shit I listened to in middleschool--but it still hurts cause I'm slightly obsessive about my books and records.

It mostly hurts when I want to rock out to "A Kind of Magic," Queen's soundtrack for the movie Highlander. I'm looking into replacing some of these albums, but it appears "A Kind of Magic" is out of print. Does anyone own this? I'm not joking.

Also, I'm missing all my pre-Losing My Religion REM albums, Apetite For Destruction, and a bunch of demos from punk bands that played at the Teen Center where I grew up. If anyone went to Fairfield Highschool and saw a lot of Hardcore and Ska at the Beanery, let me know. I need a copy of The Pist's seven inch and Ska King Crab's demo CD with their cover of AHA's Take on Me. THIS IS IMPORTANT.

I thought I was the only human to purchase that album. "Gimme the Prize (Kurgan's Theme)" is the only song I know of with a sword fight in it. Discuss.

I should qualify my statement.

By 'guy', I meant 'website where I can find and download good-quality mp3s of artists/albums that aren't necessarily in the mainstream.' Nevertheless, I truly like Queen. I have the video of them doing "Killer Queen" on Top Of The Pops ready to go at a moment's notice.

Does anyone have a hook up on Ike Willis? Even Bob (yes, Bob) had not heard of him. He was the voice and guitarist for Frank Zappa for a long time.

Queen was the very first band I was into. I listen to it now, it's a tad over done but it still fucking rocks.

If anyone on this forum could hook you up (now that Bob is out the running), I would guess Mike D'Alonzo.

I just popped in some old Megadeath albums that I haven't listened to since highschool. The lead guitar player from '89 - 2000, Marty Friedman... Holy Crap. I didn't realize how good he is. He really knows his theory... or at least seems to. He plays over the changes so well it's almost like metal jazz. He doesn't just hammer on and off the minor pentatonic all day. Amazing arpegiated runs, he even gets a tiny bit outside sometimes (I think on purpose). He doesn't just play fast either, he slows down and takes advantage of dissonance and resolution. He's good. Real good. You should listen. It's fun to listen to music.
They call me Dollar Bill 'cause I always make sense.

If there's one thing I know a lot about (and there probably is only one thing) it's old metal. We need to have a Headbanger's Ball-a-thon or something.

The Decemberists are fucking awesome, and their new album that came out last month, The Crane Wife, is no exception.
