Thanksgiving at the...???

Post by Wesley »

For all of you in Austin for Thanksgiving, away from family and loved ones, I invite you all to spend some time with the other lonely, unloved inhabitants of this community.

I will be hosting a Thanksgiving day pot luck at my place. It's not huge, but hopefully it will do. I'll post more details later (directions), but I wanted to put it on people's radar. We'll make it a pot luck style deal. Casual, starting at say 2:00?

I'll bake a pie to be consumed in my absence.

I'll be there. I will bake a pie, too.

I will be there (it's my first thanksgiving without family, eek!) and I will bring delicious central and/or world market food that will taste awesome and have very little prep time for me. yay!

The only baking competition I accept is one to outdo my previous attempts. Challenges involving 3rd parties are foregone conclusions.

Hey, Me TOO! I am taking a pie baking workshop with my sis, and between the two of us, we will have 6 pies. I will give one to Wes's awesome T-day party.

So the question is, do you want apple, pecan, or pumpkin??

(PS I already know how to make pies, just wanted to hang out with my sis)

I'll bring vegetarian turduckens.

It's a turnip, wrapped indulce, inside a pumpkin.

No, I'll actually bring something that someone might actually eat.
