FACT OF THE DAY: Saturn, an American alligator born in 1936, was taken as a baby to live at the Berlin Zoo where he was viewed by Adolf Hitler. Saturn was one of the few animals at the Berlin Zoo to survive the bombing of World War II, and lived wild on the streets of Berlin before being captured by Allied troops in 1946 and transferred to the Moscow Zoo. Saturn is now 83 years old and still on public display.
