FACT OF THE DAY: On March 18, 1990, two men in police uniforms robbed Boston’s Gardner Museum of 13 paintings worth $500 million. The most valuable was “The Concert” by Johannes Vermeer—at $200 million it may be the most valuable stolen object in the world. The art remains missing.
