FACT OF THE DAY: Researchers in Nottingham, UK recently recreated a medicinal recipe from a compendium called Bald’s Leechbook first published in the 9th century. The salve, made from leek, garlic, wine, and bullocks gall, was originally prescribed to treat a stye; researchers discovered it’s effective against MRSA bacteria.
